Are you tired of the ups and downs of conventional wellness?
I bet you are. I am, too.
My name is Paula Marie. I’m a Wife, Mom of 5,
and Seeker of
Body Longevity.
For decades, I relentlessly pursued conventional wellness, both professionally & personally. So, I get it —the struggle to keep up with the never ending trends and conflicting advice from countless so-called gurus. It’s a costly and confusing path to navigate, and I wouldn’t be surprised if their end goal is to leave us confused and overwhelmed so we keep coming back for more.
But here's the thing…
if the end goal is to be well, how do half-baked fixes, yo-yo weight loss, and constant confusion get us there?

True well-being extends far beyond mere appearances or the number on a scale.
First and foremost, confidence, resilience, and autonomy come to mind, but overlooking the vital health of our organs, metabolic/cardiac systems, and our brains carries significant consequences, especially if we choose to carry children and, ultimately, as we age.
Because when our…
stress becomes a constant tug of war
organ function is less than optimal, and
forgetfulness and lack of focus evolve into memory issues
…a skinny body provides absolutely no solace.
Ready to leave behind the
one size fits all mentality
and Reimagine your
Wellness Beliefs?
You’re in the right place!
How would you reimagine your wellness beliefs?
For me, this means…..
a strong body
sharp mind
staying in my lane
more living & less stressing
a heart full of compassion, forgiveness and love for others —and myself, too.
Adding that last bit —loving myself, too— made me catch my breath a bit. We want to believe that putting the priorities of others ahead of our own is loving them well. But, truth be told, we cannot love others —bigger & better - if we don’t prioritize our needs and make time for ourselves, too.
And, honestly, the whole just “love yourself” thing doesn’t come easily to me. But, when I make the choice to be self-aware and work my may towards self-acceptance, then self-love finds it’s way to me organically.
Can you relate?
When your preverbal cup is full and over flowing, there is so much more compassion, forgiveness, and love for others.

You become a SEEKer.
First of all, you are not alone.
Wellness entrances us all.
Before we jump in, I want to be clear. I'm not suggesting ALL wellness is bad. But, we must recognize the allure of wellness entrances our world. It's grown into a massive $404 trillion industry, promising us the key to happiness and vitality. But, for me, and I hope you too, it’s frustrating to see the the rise in the rates of depression, diabetes, and dementia, as well as the increasing impact of cardiovascular, metabolic, and autoimmune diseases despite the trillions spent on wellness.
Wellness is a profit-driven culture that puts dollars before our well-being.
Here's the thing. Our fixation on pursuing wellness has taken us farther away from achieving true well-being. We've become so obsessed with the latest trends, fads, and diets that we've lost sight of what it means to truly be well. What you spend on wellness doesn't make you well. It’s the daily practices —journaling, preparing nourishing foods, meditation, prayer, spending time in nature, moving your body —that help you be well and feel good!
We may share a similar physical body, but each of us has unique needs for achieving balance and well-being.
When wellness culture —the gurus, coaches, product manufacturers— and even our girlfriends preach to us about food, diets, beauty, body size, and fitness routines, the list can go on and on; we often overlook the critical and undeniable truth that each of us is uniquely different.
What may work for one person rarely works for another. Through our individual experiences and struggles, we have learned, for many the hard way, that these "solutions" rarely serve us and often lead to disappointment, body dysmorphia, negative self-talk, and, not surprisingly, leave us worse than we started.
As a SEEKer, you have the freedom to break away from the cycle of trends and gimmicks that rarely provide long-term benefits. By listening to your body, moving to its own rhythm, and trusting your inner guidance, you'll discover that nourishing, moving, and caring for your body is not a burden but rather an empowering and sustainable practice.
Let's stop chasing wellness and reimagine our wellness beliefs; so we can embrace the lasting well-being and longevity that's our birthright.
Where do we begin?

Collectively, we have the POWER to encourage women to LISTEN to their bodies, TRUST their inner knowing, and draw attention to
BODY LONGEVITY
—what matters most.
Let’s start a new conversation.
Wellness culture has wrought restrictive eating, disordered body image, perfectionism, and ageism. I created the Ditch the Dogma podcast to give voice to a new narrative inviting women to do wellness differently and to share their stories and insights. From women like you and me to professionals who've taken a stand against guruship, we are starting conversations that ditch convention dogma and encouraging women of all ages to become lifelong SEEKers of well-being.
Join forces to disrupt a wellness narrative that does more harm than good.
Collectively, we can help lift the confidence and self-esteem of all women, so they can think more critically [for themselves] as they slowly step into this new journey. A journey that focuses on seeking joyful energy, abundant creativity, and a newfound balance based on wholeness.
